The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Family Guidance Unit at the Student Care and Counseling Center, organized a workshop titled “Developing Communication and Family Problem-Solving Skills”, presented by social specialist Maha Al-Hamas from the College of Tourism and Hospitality in Al-Far‘a. The workshop highlighted the role of the family in shaping individuals and society, effective communication methods among family members, and practical approaches to handle and resolve family issues positively, attended by a distinguished group of female students from King Khalid University.

The Female Student Affairs Agency at King Khalid University concluded the Dart Throw Championship for university female students in a competitive atmosphere showcasing their skills and sportsmanship. The results saw Shatha Al-Farhan win the gold medal, Amira Hussein the silver, and Asma Al-Shreem the bronze.

The Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, honored King Khalid University in the presence of the University President, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Salmi, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ali Al-Qahtani, and the university team, in recognition of the university’s excellence and its achievement of high rankings in the University Sports Performance Index for its 15th season.

The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Female Student Affairs Agency, concluded the “Pictures That Speak” exhibition, aimed at showcasing the talents of the university’s female students in photography and developing their skills in visual expression. The exhibition included a specialized workshop on photography fundamentals, attended by more than 60 students, which helped refine their skills and enhance their creative experience. The event concluded with the top three winners being honored for their artistic excellence and achievements.

The Student Care and Counseling Center at King Khalid University, under the Deanship of Student Affairs, held a meeting for supervisors of care and counseling units across the university’s colleges. The meeting addressed the role of faculty in promoting student mental health, reviewed the center’s agenda including supervisors’ responsibilities and the achievement reports for the academic year 1446 AH, presented the procedural guide, and examined academic at-risk cases, concluding with recommendations aimed at improving operations and enhancing the quality of services provided to students.

The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Female Student Affairs Agency, organized the Equestrian Championship for female students at King Khalid University. The event featured wide participation and highlighted the deanship’s commitment to supporting student sports activities, nurturing talents, and promoting female presence across various athletic fields. The championship concluded with Rana Al-Suhaim winning the gold medal, Shahad Al-Khalidi the silver, and Lama Al-Thumairi the bronze.

A student team from King Khalid University achieved a distinguished success by securing third place in the International Micromaker Hackathon, held during the 5th Conference of the Saudi Society of Clinical Pharmacy (SSCP25), which attracted more than 500 participating teams. The team—composed of Rinad Al-Qahtani, Raneem Al-Nujaymi, Sadeem Al-Mufreh, and Ziyad Al-Ahmari—was recognized for its innovative project “PharmaLink,” the first comprehensive Saudi platform designed to empower pharmacists and pharmacy students by integrating education, professional development, and employment into a unified system that aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 in building national healthcare competencies.

The College of Engineering Club – Female Section, in collaboration with the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, hosted the “Electrical Engineering Hackathon (Engineerthon)” on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Al-Qurayyir University City. The event showcased students’ innovations and projects in robotics and control, health and safety, electrical engineering, and industrial engineering, along with an informative booth on hackathons and interactive activities. The event concluded with awards and certificates for the winners and participants, attended by distinguished faculty and students.

The Abha Applied College Club, in collaboration with the Community Service Committee at the College of Medicine and the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, organized an awareness initiative on World Alzheimer’s Day, Monday, September 22, 2025, at the college theater, aiming to raise students’ understanding of elderly care and the nature of the disease. The program included interactive activities, a detailed presentation on the disease’s concept, causes, symptoms, and risk factors, as well as the role of physical activity and healthy nutrition in prevention, complemented by an educational animated film and awareness cards, providing a comprehensive and engaging knowledge-sharing experience.

On Thursday, September 18, 2025, the College of Business Club launched its first interactive competitive program titled “From Idea to Brand” at the College of Computer Science Theater. The event aimed to promote innovation and transform ideas into pioneering projects, with attendees participating in voting and nominating outstanding ideas, creating an atmosphere of competition, enthusiasm, and creativity.
