The College of Science Club, in collaboration with the Student Affairs Agency for Student Activities, organized a specialized awareness program titled “Our Environment Has a Right on Us” on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. The program aimed to enhance students’ knowledge of the importance of the environment and the necessity of preserving it. More than 60 students attended the program, which included awareness segments on protecting natural resources and promoting proper environmental practices, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility among students.

King Khalid University Organizes the Women’s Chess Activation Tournament as Part of the Saudi University Sports Federation Activities

Under the supervision of the Saudi University Sports Federation, the Deanship of Student Affairs at King Khalid University, represented by the Vice Deanship for Female Students’ Affairs, organized the Women’s Chess Activation Tournament as part of the accompanying events of the Saudi Universities Futsal Championship qualifiers, in collaboration with the Saudi University Sports Federation.

The tournament was held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, with the participation of four universities: King Khalid University, Umm Al-Qura University, Al-Baha University, and Taif University, and included twenty female players from various institutions.

The competition witnessed strong performances among the participants, and the final results were as follows: Arjwan Hussein Al-Harbi from King Khalid University won first place and the gold medal, Shahad Badr Balghaith from Umm Al-Qura University won second place and the silver medal, while Khuzama Abdulhameed Al-Ghamdi from Al-Baha University secured third place and the bronze medal.

This tournament comes as part of the Deanship of Student Affairs’ efforts to enhance university sports participation and to activate programs that help develop students’ skills and promote positive competition among Saudi universities.

The College of Nursing Club in Khamis Mushait organized the event “Save a Life” on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, in collaboration with the Student Affairs Agency and the Saudi Red Crescent Authority. The event aimed to raise awareness of the importance of first aid and familiarize participants with the fundamentals of life-saving in emergency situations through training workshops and practical awareness demonstrations led by nursing and emergency specialists. This initiative is part of the college’s efforts to promote a culture of social responsibility and develop students’ skills in handling emergency cases in line with the humanitarian mission of the nursing profession.

The Central Entrepreneurship Club at the Deanship of Student Affairs, under the supervision of Dr. Mishaal Al-Qahtani and in partnership with the Creativity and Thinking Club and the Science Ambassadors Club, hosted the workshop “Creative Solutions Through Design Thinking” presented by Dr. Naif Jebli on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Central Library, and it was streamed to female students via Teams. Participants learned about the design thinking methodology and its stages and engaged in practical exercises to creatively solve student-related challenges, allowing them to develop innovation and critical thinking skills in an interactive learning environment.

The event concluded with the awarding of top positions by the department’s judging committee, creating an atmosphere of competition and enthusiasm, which helped enhance students’ skills and encouraged innovation in various translation fields.
