Abha College of Nursing at King Khalid University, with the support of the Deanship of Student Affairs, secured fifth place in the 2026 Annual Nursing Olympiad, held on Wednesday, February 5, 2026, and organized by King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in Jeddah. The competition brought together 23 universities from across the Kingdom, in addition to several universities from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. This achievement reflects the excellence of the university’s students, the competence of its academic staff, and its continued commitment to promoting scientific and professional competitiveness to enhance the quality of educational outcomes.

Conclusion of the First Phase of the 11th Sports Olympiad for King Khalid University Students

The first phase of the 11th Sports Olympiad for King Khalid University students concluded on the evening of Thursday, February 5, 2026, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in cooperation with Damac Sports Club, and attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Saad bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, and the Executive Director of Damac Sports Club, Mr. Ahmed Al-Shahri. The competitions concluded with the College of Engineering being crowned champions of the Futsal Football Tournament after defeating the College of Sharia in the final match, with the participation of approximately 350 students from around 24 colleges, reflecting strong student engagement in the university’s sports programs.

The meeting addressed the role of the Alumni Association Unit and the college-level alumni units, reviewing their key achievements and future plans to enhance alumni engagement and participation in university activities. Coordinators were also honored for their efforts during the first semester of the 1447 AH academic year, reflecting their active contribution to supporting the university community and maintaining strong connections with graduates.

In a new achievement added to the record of excellence of King Khalid University students, the “Saha” project by graduates of the College of Computer Science received recognition and technical support from the Saudi Space Agency, in appreciation of its technical value and practical impact. Presented by graduates Futoon Al-Shahri, Bashayer Abdullah, and Ghaida Al-Shahri, the project aims to leverage artificial intelligence technologies by integrating multimodal models and large language models to support the space and satellite sector and develop advanced technological solutions. The “Saha” project represents a distinguished model of graduation projects that transcend the academic framework to contribute to innovative national solutions based on advanced technologies, reflecting the competence and excellence of the university’s graduates in modern technical fields. The Deanship of Student Affairs congratulated the graduates on this outstanding achievement, wishing them continued success and further accomplishments in their professional journey.

The Deanship of Student Affairs at King Khalid University, in partnership with Abdullah Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation, has launched the ninth edition of the “Married Students Support Program,” inviting male and female students, including postgraduate students, to register and benefit from its services. The program aims to provide financial and advisory support to married students, contributing to their social stability and fostering a supportive academic environment that enables them to continue their educational journey. Registration for the program will remain open from February 2 to February 20, 2026, with applications submitted through the Muhtam platform.
