The event highlighted cultural diversity and promoted student interaction, featuring cultural booths that showcased participants’ traditions and heritage, creating a rich educational and cultural experience praised by attendees.

Creative Thinking Club Concludes “HallhaThon” Competition Honoring Winning Teams

The Creative Thinking Club at King Khalid University, in collaboration with the Business Center, concluded the “HallhaThon” competition on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Business Center Theater – Al-Fara’a, with 39 students participating across 9 teams in diverse tracks: Technology, Education, Social, Economic, and Sustainability. After evaluating ideas according to set criteria, 7 teams were selected for training in technical innovation, design thinking, and presentation skills, delivered by Areej Al-Shahrani, Dr. Naif Jabli, and Dr. Mohammed Harisi. On the final day, teams presented their projects to the judging panel, and the winners were honored for their creativity and outstanding ideas.

The Digital Technology Club, in collaboration with the Scientific Research Unit at the College of Computer Science and the Entrepreneurship Center, conducted the “Responding to Cyberattacks” workshop from November 9 to 12, 2025, at CODE LAB – Quraiger, presented by Dr. Sara Abu Ghazaleh. The course focused on practical approaches to cybersecurity, with students learning methods to detect breaches, analyze attacks, and conduct hands-on experiments using cybersecurity tools to identify intrusions and secure systems. The workshop also included simulations of real attack environments to enhance effective incident response skills. The program concluded with a review of practical outcomes and best practices for system security, highlighting the students’ enthusiasm and commitment to developing their cybersecurity capabilities.

The program featured Dr. Yahya bin Hussein Al-Harbi, a faculty member in the Department of Fiqh and Its Fundamentals, and aimed to grant students certification in classical Islamic texts, providing direct scholarly engagement with the text of Al-Hafiz Al-Maqdisi’s Umdat al-Ahkam and its author, thereby enhancing students’ academic level and enriching their study experience in Fiqh and its principles.
