The qualifiers of the 16th season of the Women's Futsal Championship concluded at the Sports Hall in Al-Faraa. The event was organized by King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with the Saudi University Sports Federation, and took place from October 8 to 11, 2025, with the participation of six universities and approximately 100 female students.

The championship witnessed intense competition and high-level performances throughout the tournament. Its activities also included two side championships — one for chess and another for recreational e-sports, both involving female students. Additionally, an exchange volleyball match was held between King Khalid University and Taif University, along with a series of entertainment workshops organized during the event, creating a comprehensive educational and recreational environment for the participating students.

Dr. Ali bin Misfer Al-Qahtani, Dean of Student Affairs at King Khalid University, emphasized that organizing such events reflects the university’s commitment to supporting female students’ athletic and cultural activities and to promoting the spirit of fair competition. He also praised the professional organization and fruitful collaboration among the participating entities.

Dr. Areej Al-Baheer, Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Female Students, noted that the tournament featured highly competitive and professional matches, resulting in the qualification of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and King Khalid University to the final stages. She expressed her pride in the students’ participation and their dedication to excellence in athletic competition.
