The College of Nursing in Muhayil Asir, Male Section, organized the event titled “Hypertension Awareness,” which is an important step in promoting public health by raising awareness about the disease and the necessity of preventing it through adopting healthy habits. Dr. Abdul Monem Batiha, Head of the Department of Basic Nursing Care, delivered an informative lecture on hypertension, covering its definition, types, causes, prevention methods, and ways to live with it. He also emphasized the importance of regular blood pressure measurements, a healthy diet, and regular exercise to maintain blood pressure at normal levels. At the end of the session, Dr. Batiha answered the attendees’ questions, and refreshments were provided to the attendees and participants.
