The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Student Care and Counseling Center, in collaboration with the College of Business, implemented an awareness program titled “The Dangers of Smoking and the Role of Clinics in Quitting,” presented by Nursing Technician Mr. Ayed Al-Shahrani. This initiative comes as part of King Khalid University’s efforts to promote public health and enhance students’ quality of life, aiming to raise awareness of the health and social harms of smoking and highlight the role of the Irada Clinic in supporting those wishing to quit.

His Excellency Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Solami, President of King Khalid University, attended the conclusion of the national qualifiers for the “Future Minerals Pioneers” Innovation Competition in the southern region, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs with wide participation from young innovators. The competition featured 84 contestants representing 17 teams, distributed across three main tracks: Safety and Security, Smart Technologies, and Resource Sustainability, aiming to foster innovation and explore national talents in the minerals sector.

His Excellency Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Solami, President of King Khalid University, honored the Sports Activity Departments at the Deanship of Student Affairs in recognition of their excellence and their high rankings in the Sports Performance Index for the year 1446 AH. He also honored the University Taekwondo Team for achieving first place in the Saudi Universities Sports Federation Championship for the year 1447 AH, praising their remarkable accomplishment that reflects the spirit of competition and athletic excellence among the university’s students.

The closing ceremony was attended by His Excellency Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solamy, President of King Khalid University, who commended the quality of the entrepreneurial projects presented. Dr. Mashael Al-Qahtani, the Club President, was also honored for her efforts in promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students.
