The College of Science Club Hosts “Coding Bootcamp” to Introduce Students to Python Programming

The College of Science Club at King Khalid University organized a “Coding Bootcamp” with the participation of 35 students at the College of Computer Science – Guraiger, Lab A/2/2 on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 9–10, 2025. The event aimed to introduce students to Python programming, covering programming fundamentals, differences between high-level and low-level languages, and Python applications in artificial intelligence, data analysis, web development, and automation. The bootcamp included practical activities that enhanced students’ understanding of variables, control flow, data structures, function writing, and the use of libraries such as NumPy and Pandas.

The Scout Club at King Khalid University – Deanship of Student Affairs, participated in the Islamic World Scout Camp in Jakarta from September 9 to 15, 2025, as part of the Saudi delegation, under the supervision of the Arab Saudi Scout Association and with participation from many Islamic countries. The club was represented by a group of leaders and scouts who engaged in cultural programs, training sessions, and diverse scouting activities aimed at exchanging expertise, developing leadership and teamwork skills, and promoting values of tolerance and peace. The scouting delegation expressed pride in participating in this global event, which serves as a platform for cultural exchange and strengthening connections among participants.

The College of Engineering Club at King Khalid University, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs Agency for Student Activities, hosted the “Future Engineers” meeting on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The event aimed to introduce students to the future of engineering disciplines and highlight available training and volunteer opportunities in engineering fields. The event concluded with an exhibition organized by the American Society of Engineers and several student organizations, in addition to a meeting with the college leadership, where the Dean, Vice Dean, and all department heads delivered guidance and advice to the students. The meeting was attended by over 300 students.
