The event received wide engagement from the attendees and the Central Arts Club was awarded first place in the Best Participation Award during the university’s celebrations, in recognition of its excellence in showcasing Saudi heritage and promoting national identity.

The Deanship of Student Affairs at King Khalid University, represented by the Volunteering Club, hosted the “Qimam and Shimm” camp for training volunteer leaders from 17th to 21st February, in partnership with the College of Languages and Translation Club. The camp offered a series of training workshops on topics such as inspiring leadership, design thinking, skills development, and the role of student activities in building leadership character. The camp concluded with the design of professional volunteer initiatives, and certificates of appreciation were awarded to the participants for their active involvement.

The campaign aimed to motivate female students to adopt a healthy lifestyle, increase awareness about daily exercise, and utilize their free time between lectures by engaging in physical, mental, and recreational activities. Adopting a healthy lifestyle enhances overall health, boosts energy, and improves mood through proper nutrition, regular physical activity, exercise, good sleep, and mental health care.

The Engineering College Club – Female Section, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a visit to the Saudi Electricity Company on Thursday, February 20, 2025. The visit was led by Engineer Abdulaziz Al-Shahrani, beginning with a workshop on thermal imaging technology and its role in predictive maintenance. The tour included visits to the generation, transmission, cables, and distribution workshops, where students explored turbine maintenance techniques, current conductors, insulators, and smart meters. They also learned about solar energy technologies, the On-Grid system for connecting solar panels to the grid, and electric vehicle charging stations, along with the training process for operators.
