His Excellency, Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Sulami, the President of King Khalid University, affirmed that on the occasion of the 92nd Saudi National Day, the university is thriving at its best, thanks to the support of the wise leadership, which has contributed to achieving numerous accomplishments in academic, administrative, and technological fields. Moreover, it led to the development of the university's strategic plan for 2030, which is supported and carried out by the sons and daughters of the nation. Additionally, there is strategic alignment between the university's plan and the developmental plans for the Aseer region, which will have a positive impact on the university's outcomes and contribute to the progress and development of Aseer as a global tourist destination.

These statements were made during the university's celebration of the 92nd National Day, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in Al-Qara'a, in the presence of several vice presidents, university staff, and male and female students, under the theme "Dar Celebration."

Dr. Ali Al-Qahtani, the Dean of Student Affairs at the university, further explained that what the university enjoys on the occasion of the National Day embodies the support and interest in education and learning by the guardians of the nation. He pointed out that this attention enabled the university to play a leading role in human and regional development. He also highlighted that the entire university community, including its staff and students, celebrate this occasion from September 25th to 29th, with loyalty and a sense of belonging, appreciating the blessings of the homeland.

The celebration included various sections, such as a procession, a national operetta, and a poetic performance by university students. Additionally, the event honored the winners of the university's competition on the occasion of the National Day, which covered areas such as classical and folk poetry, visual arts, design, video, and photography.

It is worth mentioning that the university organized numerous programs and celebratory events across all its campuses during the National Day week.

University Concludes Its Anniversary Celebrations with the Deanship of Student Affairs and Various University Entities

The university concluded its anniversary celebrations organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in collaboration with the Faculty of Home Economics and the General Administration of Corporate Communication Centre, with the participation of various university units. The celebration included a children's fashion show commemorating the foundation, poetic recitation, and the operetta “The Day We Started.” Additionally, the event honored the winners of the student competition and featured several diverse sections.

On this occasion, the University's President, Professor Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Sulami, conveyed his congratulations to the leadership on behalf of himself and the university staff, affirming that they are living a grand occasion. He recalled the tales of glory and immortal achievements written by this country three centuries ago, which transformed it into a leading state and a great civilization that inspired the world with its experience.

Al-Sulami pointed out that in the year 1139H / 1727CE, the Arabian Peninsula witnessed a new phase of security, safety, construction, and giving. Imam Muhammad bin Saud, may God rest his soul, founded the Saudi state, and it emerged from Diriyah as a political and cultural entity, achieving a pioneering presence across various domains and fields throughout its history.

He added: "Since that date, the region has witnessed tremendous development in its progress and the lives of its people. This progress was strengthened, and success was achieved through unity between the leadership and the people, and the relentless efforts of everyone towards development. Today, we proudly celebrate the anniversary of our proud homeland, our ancient civilization, and our deep human values. Our vibrant present narrates to future generations the achievements of our country, our glorious past testifies to a rich record of great sacrifices, determination, and perseverance in the path of progress. Our ambitious vision for 2030 takes us to a world of development, progress, and leadership."

The President of King Khalid University emphasized that the anniversary of the foundation is not only an occasion for pride and celebration of achievements but also a time to realize and appreciate the great national capabilities, dignified life, and comprehensive development they enjoy. It is also an occasion to renew the determination to move forward and exert maximum efforts to actively contribute to the development of the nation and achieve its ambitious Vision 2030.

After arriving at the celebration venue, the University's President toured the accompanying exhibitions, which included displays on the history and design of the foundation, cooking, and visual arts, praising what he saw and affirming its role in enhancing cultural identity and heritage.

The University had prepared a plan to celebrate the foundation's anniversary, including three major central events at the university campuses in Al Qaraa, Guorriguer, and Tihama, in addition to the participation of various university units in diverse events and programs. There was also a collaboration with the Abha Literary Club and some other entities to organize celebratory programs and host the "Al-Liwan" event organized by the Ministry of Culture for three days.

The Deanship achieved second place in the "Cross-Country Cycling" race at the level of Saudi Universities

The Deanship of Student Affairs achieved second place in the cross-country cycling race at the Saudi Universities Sports Union Championships. The race took place from 2nd to 4th of Jumada Al-Thani, 1444 H, at Jazan University.

This achievement is a result of the continuous support from His Excellency, the President of King Khalid University, Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Sulami, for student activities in all fields and the ongoing support for the university's male and female students to achieve the goals of our beloved country's Vision 2030.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ali bin Mesfer Al-Qahtani, praised this achievement, extending his gratitude and congratulations to the participating students in this race and to the Sports Activities Management.
He emphasized the need to exert more effort to achieve further accomplishments, thanking His Excellency, the President of the University, Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Sulami, for his support for all activities and the resulting achievements in the name of the university.

He affirmed that the Deanship of Student Affairs exists to serve the students and to develop their talents in all aspects to achieve the goals of our nation and highlight the talents of this dear homeland. The race distance was 10 km, with the participation of approximately 120 players from 20 universities.

The Deanship of Student Affairs concludes the competitions of the 9th Sports Olympiad for the second semester.

The Sports Activities Management at the Deanship of Student Affairs concluded the 9th Sports Olympiad for the colleges of King Khalid University for the second semester. The competitions took place from 25/5/1444H to 4/6/1444H at the sports hall in Al-Qaraa. The Olympiad included futsal football and table tennis.

In the presence of the esteemed Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ali bin Mesfer Al-Qahtani, the final match was held between the Faculty of Business and the Faculty of Computer Science.

The College of Business team was crowned as the futsal championship winner and was awarded the gold medals and a financial prize for each student.

Also, the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Abha team was crowned as the table tennis competition winner.

It is worth mentioning that more than 10 faculties from the university participated in the 9th Sports Olympiad.

At the end of the ceremony, commemorative photos were taken.

Prince Turki bin Talal, the Prince of Asir and President of its Development Authority, congratulated the graduates of King Khalid University for the academic year 1444H. This happened during his sponsorship of the graduation ceremony for the 25th batch for the academic year 1444H - 2023 AD, the "Silver Jubilee Batch," at the sports stadium in the university city of Fara.


Prince Turki bin Talal stated that concerted efforts were made to accomplish and overcome the obstacles faced by university projects, completed within only a year and a half, which would not have been achieved without the grace of Almighty God and the guidance and support of the leadership. Today, we celebrate the graduation of the university students from this grand institution.

The ceremony, attended by more than 25,000 people, commenced with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcoming speech by the President of King Khalid University, Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Sulami, in which he welcomed the ceremony's patron and attendees. 

He emphasized that the beloved nation takes pride in having more than 12,000 male and female graduates, who will be the hands of construction and partners in achieving development and progress. 

He added that the graduates are embarking on a new phase of giving back to their dear homeland, embodying all the meanings of loyalty in a great country, a country in which its government, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince, believes that knowledge is the path to development and that humans are its cornerstone. Dr. Al-Sulami extended his thanks to the wise leadership and the Prince of Asir for their unlimited support to the university, its staff, and students, and he praised the Ministry of Education for what the university enjoys.

He also congratulated the graduates, saying, "Thanks to your honorable families who nurtured your achievements until they witnessed them today with pride and appreciation. Thanks also to the respected university staff who fulfilled their trust and deserved respect."

Following that, the Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Ali Al-Khalidi, and the Dean of Graduate Studies, Dr. Ahmed Al-Faei, announced the results of the graduates from various levels, with a total of 1,360 male and female graduates in different degree levels (PhD, Masters, and High Diplomas) and a total of 11,085 male and female graduates from the diploma and bachelor's stages. 
Among them, 4,008 are male graduates, and 6,257 are female graduates from the bachelor's level, and for the diploma degree level, there are 211 male graduates and 613 female graduates. Afterward, the Prince of Asir and the attendees watched a visual film titled "A Nation's Graduate," followed by an operetta to celebrate the graduates. Dr. Ali Al-Qahtani, the Dean of Student Affairs, then recited the graduates' oath.

At the end of the ceremony, the university honored the graduates with distinction in various degree levels and specializations.
