King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a cultural awareness event in cooperation with the Hawi Platform — part of the Quality of Life Program — and the Aseer Development Authority. The event featured a variety of workshops in padel sports, handicrafts, and culinary arts. This initiative comes as part of the Deanship’s ongoing efforts to nurture and support student talents, promote a culture of hobbies and creative activities, and empower youth in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs and in cooperation with the Saudi University Sports Federation, organized an inter-university Chess Championship as part of the activities accompanying the Saudi Universities Women’s Futsal Qualifiers. The event witnessed the participation of several female students from various universities. The results were as follows: the gold medal went to Arjowan Hussein Al-Harbi from King Khalid University, the silver medal to Shahad Badr Balghaith from Umm Al-Qura University, and the bronze medal to Khuzama Abdulhameed Al-Ghamdi from Al-Baha University.

King Khalid University launched the qualifiers of the Saudi Universities Women’s Futsal Championship, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in cooperation with the Saudi University Sports Federation. The tournament, held at the university’s Al-Faraa Campus, features six universities represented by around 100 female players competing in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and sportsmanship. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to promoting women’s university sports and encouraging active participation in athletic events that foster ambition, confidence, and holistic personal development.

The Deanship of Student Affairs at King Khalid University, represented by the Cultural Activities Department, organized a training program titled “Raising Staff Awareness of Saudi Vision 2030” as part of the university’s efforts to align its programs and strategic plans with the objectives of the national vision. The program aimed to enhance staff understanding of Vision 2030, highlighting the Deanship’s role in supporting its goals through the development of educational, cultural, and health services, and by promoting community engagement that contributes to sustainable development and enhances the quality of university life.

King Khalid University’s Al-Faraa Stadium witnessed a large crowd attending the thrilling football match between the university’s team and Majmaah University’s team as part of the Saudi Universities Football League, hosted by King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, in collaboration with the Saudi Universities Sports Federation. The match ended in an exciting draw following a strong performance by both teams in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and competitive spirit, reflecting the progress of university sports and the high level of skill and sportsmanship among the participating teams.

In the presence of King Khalid University’s Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, the Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by its Dean, Dr. Ali bin Misfer Al-Qahtani, signed several agreements with private sector institutions. These agreements aim to enhance training and development opportunities for the university’s students, enabling them to acquire practical experience that prepares them for the job market. This initiative aligns with the university’s efforts to build effective partnerships with the private sector to support its educational outcomes and contribute to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by strengthening the link between education and the labor market.

The Saudi Universities Sports Federation Table Tennis Championship for the sixteenth sports season concluded, hosted by King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, with the participation of more than 160 players from 34 Saudi universities and colleges. The championship witnessed intense competition among participants in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and sportsmanship, reflecting the growing level of university sports in the Kingdom and the universities’ commitment to supporting their students’ talents while promoting fair competition and teamwork.

The College of Science Club, in collaboration with the Student Affairs Agency for Student Activities, organized a specialized awareness program titled “Our Environment Has a Right on Us” on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. The program aimed to enhance students’ knowledge of the importance of the environment and the necessity of preserving it. More than 60 students attended the program, which included awareness segments on protecting natural resources and promoting proper environmental practices, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility among students.

Under the supervision of the Saudi University Sports Federation, the Deanship of Student Affairs at King Khalid University, represented by the Vice Deanship for Female Students’ Affairs, organized the Women’s Chess Activation Tournament as part of the accompanying events of the Saudi Universities Futsal Championship qualifiers, in collaboration with the Saudi University Sports Federation.

The tournament was held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, with the participation of four universities: King Khalid University, Umm Al-Qura University, Al-Baha University, and Taif University, and included twenty female players from various institutions.

The competition witnessed strong performances among the participants, and the final results were as follows: Arjwan Hussein Al-Harbi from King Khalid University won first place and the gold medal, Shahad Badr Balghaith from Umm Al-Qura University won second place and the silver medal, while Khuzama Abdulhameed Al-Ghamdi from Al-Baha University secured third place and the bronze medal.

This tournament comes as part of the Deanship of Student Affairs’ efforts to enhance university sports participation and to activate programs that help develop students’ skills and promote positive competition among Saudi universities.
