The Central Digital Technology Club hosted the “UI/UX Design Workshop” from 18 to 20 November 2025 at the College of Computer Science in Al-Qara’a (Room 1-1-72), delivered by Mr. Abdullah Asiri (Product & UX/UI Designer). The workshop was held in person for male students while female students joined via live broadcast on Google Meet due to high demand. Participants explored UI/UX fundamentals, including user-needs analysis, wireframing, interactive prototyping, and the use of specialized design tools, with strong engagement through discussions and hands-on activities. The program concluded with a review of project outcomes, a discussion of key challenges in digital-experience design, and the exchange of best practices that support the creation of effective and appealing digital products.

The Applied Medical Sciences Club in Mahayel Asir, in partnership with the Deanship of Student Affairs, hosted the “Gesture of Appreciation” event on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, to honor university workers and acknowledge their contribution to creating a supportive educational environment. The initiative aimed to distribute meals as a token of gratitude, promoting values of humanity and social responsibility. Students from the club participated in organizing and distributing the meals in a cooperative and positive atmosphere, reflecting the college’s commitment to fostering a spirit of giving and highlighting the university’s human-centered approach toward its community.

The Central Arts Club organized the “Beginner Music Performance Course” from Sunday, November 16 to Thursday, November 20, under the supervision of instructor Lara, as part of an intensive training program designed for students interested in learning the fundamentals of musical performance. The course offered introductory lessons covering instrument familiarity, proper playing posture, basic note reading, and practice on simple musical pieces, with participants showing notable progress through hands-on daily exercises. The program concluded in a vibrant atmosphere reflecting the students’ passion and eagerness to develop new artistic skills, affirming the value of the experience as part of the club’s ongoing efforts to nurture and support creative talents across various artistic fields.

The Sustainability Club, in partnership with the Mustadam Initiative and in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, conducted an awareness workshop titled “Dimensions of Sustainability” on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, via Microsoft Teams at 8:00 p.m. The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of sustainability, highlight key practices, and emphasize its role in fostering a responsible and informed community, while enhancing students’ environmental, social, and economic awareness. The session recorded the participation of more than 65 students, reflecting strong interest in sustainability-focused educational programs.

The College of Culture and Arts Club in Rijal Alma’, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs’ Student Activities Agency, hosted the “College Youth Talents” event on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, aiming to highlight students’ creativity and provide an interactive platform for showcasing their artistic and cultural skills. The event featured a range of performances including artistic showcases, recitation talents, and vocal presentations, along with creative contributions that reflected the students’ diverse interests. Performers Ziyad Bijad, Abdullah Attaf, Youssef Asiri, and Abdulrahim Manazir took the stage with notable presentations that strengthened students’ confidence, supported their talents, and fostered a spirit of initiative and creativity.

The Central Entrepreneurship Club, in collaboration with the Central Sustainability Club under the Deanship of Student Affairs at King Khalid University, hosted the closing ceremony of the “Sustainable Entrepreneurship Hackathon” on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, at Hall G. Dr. Mashael Al-Qahtani, President of the Entrepreneurship Club, delivered a welcoming address praising participants’ dedication and highlighting the value of initiatives that foster innovation and promote sustainability among students. The event welcomed more than 170 participants and featured the honoring of teams, the announcement of winning projects, and the distribution of appreciation certificates in recognition of the students’ efforts and contributions throughout the hackathon.

The Digital Technology Club, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Center, CODE Lab, and the Deanship of Student Affairs at King Khalid University, hosted a training session titled “When the Data Isn’t Fair: The Imbalanced Data Problem in Machine Learning” on 16 November 2025 at CODE LAB (Quraiger), presented by Ms. Manahil Al-Tahlan. The session explored the impact of imbalanced data on machine-learning model accuracy, highlighting key handling techniques and practical examples that enhanced participants’ understanding of data quality in building reliable AI systems, concluding with an engaging discussion on best practices.

The Alumni Unit at King Khalid University achieved significant weekly milestones by empowering over 320 graduates through the Taqat platform, updating records for 72 graduates, and enrolling two in training programs. The unit also organized the eighth developmental meeting in collaboration with the General Organization for Social Insurance, featuring an “Insurance Awareness” workshop to enhance graduates’ understanding of social insurance, highlighting the importance of professional skill development and early career planning. These efforts reflect the unit’s commitment to expanding employment opportunities and empowering graduates in the labor market.

The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Vice Deanship for Female Students, organized a paddle tennis championship for female students at King Khalid University. The event began with an explanation by Trainer Amal Al-Shahrani on the key rules of the game, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship. The championship matches then took place in an enthusiastic atmosphere with audience support and concluded with an awards ceremony honoring the top-ranking students, reflecting the deanship’s commitment to developing athletic skills and promoting positive competition among students.

Students from King Khalid University participated as part of the Saudi Arabian Taekwondo National Team in the Qatar International Taekwondo Championship, organized by the Qatari Taekwondo, Judo, and Karate Federation at Lusail Hall, with 1,361 participants, including 1,021 athletes and 289 technical and administrative staff, representing 175 clubs and national federations from 48 countries, from November 14–17, 2025. The university’s students achieved remarkable results: Abdulrahman Al-Shahrani from the College of Business secured second place and a silver medal in the 54 kg category, while Mohammed Madawi from the College of Computer Science earned third place and a bronze medal. The Deanship of Student Affairs congratulates the winning students and wishes them continued success and future achievements.
