Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Asir Region, King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, participated in the Seventh Annual Forum for Families of Persons with Disabilities, held under the theme “Inclusive Partnership,” as part of the Deanship’s commitment to promoting social inclusion and enhancing the quality of life for persons with disabilities and their families.

The Deanship of Student Affairs took part through an informational booth highlighting the key services and programs provided to male and female students with disabilities, including academic accommodations and support services aimed at creating an enabling and equitable learning environment that supports academic excellence and success.

In addition, the Deanship contributed to organizing the forum through the participation of a group of female student volunteers, reflecting students’ strong sense of social responsibility and the Deanship’s commitment to fostering a culture of volunteerism and community engagement.

The forum placed particular emphasis on inclusivity and accessibility, with sign language interpreters provided across all sessions and seminars to ensure equal access to information and content for all attendees, in line with best practices in universal accessibility.

The Deanship of Student Affairs’ participation in this forum forms part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen community partnerships, promote inclusive practices, and support initiatives that empower persons with disabilities, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to build a vibrant and inclusive society that offers equal opportunities for all.

The staff of the Deanship of Student Affairs at King Khalid University held a ceremony to honor the former Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ali bin Misfer Al-Qahtani, in recognition of his distinguished contributions and dedicated efforts that significantly enhanced the deanship’s work system and positively impacted the services provided to male and female students.

The ceremony was attended by the Vice Rector of King Khalid University for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, who commended Dr. Al-Qahtani for his valuable contributions during his tenure, praising the achievements that supported the educational environment and strengthened student services and activities.

The event also included honoring the current Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Saad bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, on the occasion of his appointment. King Khalid University, through the Deanship of Student Affairs represented by the Agency for Student Activities, organized the Open Sports Day on December 11, 2025, celebrating the university’s achievement of fifth place in the Saudi Universities Sports Performance Index for the year 1446 AH. In collaboration with Al-Batterjee Medical Colleges, the Deanship also held an exchange basketball match and various sports challenges at the Al-Faraa Sports Hall, as part of its efforts to promote sports activities and foster a spirit of positive competition among students.
