The Applied college’s Club in Khamis Mushait celebrates World Teacher’s Day

Cooperating with The Deanship of Student’s Affairs, The Applied College’s Club in Khamis Mushait has organized a ceremony to celebrate World’s Teacher Day, mainly presenting “ The Intelligent Teacher“ program. The program began at 12 o’clock pm with a workshop. A number of 120 female students have attended the program, in addition to 18 of the faculty members from different sectors in the college.

The program aimed to praise and show gratitude towards teachers’ role in teaching and educating generations. The program started with the National Anthem, after that an introduction about the grace of the teacher in Islam was given by student Reem Alahmari. Following That, the audience listened to the holy Qur’an recitation. Subsequently, a thanking speech was given for the students who participated and helped in this activity. 

The ceremony concluded with honoring Dr. Sara’a Abu Melha with The Shield of Thanks by the club’s students to show gratitude and appreciation for her efforts and help. The program was presented under the supervision of Dr. Reda Abdulfattah, and the supervisor of activities Bayan Alshehri.

The Club of College of Nursing in Khamis Mushait holds The Program of Osteoporosis

Cooperating with The Deanship of Students Affairs, The Nursing College Club in Khamis Mushait has organized “ The Program of Osteoporosis “ on Thursday 20/03/1445 starting at 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. 

This event was attended by numerous students and members of the faculty. The program aimed to spread and raise the level of the attendee’s awareness about the Osteoporosis disease, introduce them to the causes of this illness, prevention methods, and alert them about the potential dangers of getting Osteoporosis. It is commonly known that Osteoporosis is a global health problem that is widely spreading nowadays all around the world. Statistics show that in every 3 women 1 of them gets fractures caused by Osteoporosis, and 1 in every 5 men over the age of 50 years old. 

In order to prevent Osteoporosis and the fractures resulting from it, a person should play sports and maintain a balanced diet. Also, a person should consume food that contains Calcium and pays attention to the importance of checking their Vitamin D’s levels occasionally to prevent themselves from getting Osteoporosis. At the end of the program, one of the students gave a speech about Osteoporosis. A corner for hospitality and another one for awareness catalogues was placed. Volunteer hours were added to the credits of students who participated in this event under the supervision of the club’s supervisor Ms. Mona Alahmari, and the supervisor of activities Refal Al awashiz.

The Education Club of the Female Section College holds the Cultural Olympiad competition

Cooperating with the Deanship of Student Affairs for female students, The College of Education Club, female section, held the Cultural Olympiad - Preparation and training Competition on Wednesday 3/19/1445 AH. The competition was available to all female Bachelor students of the College of Education. 
Preparations for the competition began at 9 o'clock am, with the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Mona Al-Zahrani and Vice Dean of the Psychology Department, Dr. Abeer Al Shehri and a delegation from the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Student Affairs, Ms. Nawal Al-Asmari and Ms. Hanaa Ahmed. Three members of the College of Education participated in judging the female students’ performance in various fields, and they are Dr. Saadi Shaman, Dr. Hanaa Al-Qahtani, Dr. Eman Rifaat.

The number of participants reached 13 from various and specific sectors, where the number of participants in the field of public speaking was three, and the results were : first place went for Aisha Al-Miqdad, second place: Salaf Asiri, and third place: Manal Ma’ashi.

There were a number of entries in the field of Nabati poetry, one entry submitted by the student Haya Al-Jakhdab, and the number of entries in the field of digital art was one entry submitted by the student Ghala Al-Qahtani, and also in the field of digital designs, one entry submitted by the student Aisha Al-Qahtani.

The number of participants in the field of drawing reached two, and the results were first place, Shaima Al Shehri, and second place, Ghala Al Thabet.

The number of entries in the field of calligraphy was three, and the result was first place: Ghadi Mohammed, second place: Munira Ahmed, and third place: Al-Hofuf Hijri. There were also a number of entries in the field of short stories, one entry submitted by the student Athkar Asiri, and a number of entries in the field of cinematic make-up, one entry by the student Zahraa Al-Shahrani.All the entries were presented and judged by the committee, and the participating female students were placed in situations tests that resembles the field they were nominated in.

Furthermore, the results were sorted, nominees chosen, and the results were announced.

The competition concluded by urging the female students and encouraging them to actively participate in the Cultural Olympiad Competition at King Khalid University for the year 1445 AH, and clarifying the most important areas of the competition and its standards. The female students were also encouraged to participate in the cultural competitions issued by the Deanship of Student Affairs inside and outside the university.

The Club of College of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion initiated a ceremony of The Saudi 93rd National Day under the logo “ We dream and We achieve “ the celebration took place in the hall of the College of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion.

The ceremony was held to memorialise the ninety-third anniversary. In the ceremony, the presenters dragged the listeners’s attention by talking about the importance of obedience to their rulers. Also, they have made sure to remind everyone of the kingdom’s efforts and its wise leadership in supporting Islam and Sharia along with the role of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may god protect him and His Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, may god protect him.
