The Thinking and Creativity Club at the Deanship of Student Affairs, in collaboration with the Design Thinking Center, organized the “Asir Is Our Destination” event for female students on Thursday, September 2, 2025. The event aimed to foster creative thinking, develop entrepreneurial skills, and connect innovation with local identity and community. It featured four inspiring entrepreneurial projects presented by guest specialists in sports, entrepreneurship, tourism, and sign language, alongside five creative booths organized by students showcasing Asiri coffee, artistic creativity, identity and belonging, and student media platforms. Interactive discussions and dialogues enhanced critical thinking and communication skills, fulfilling the club’s objectives of empowering students and strengthening their role in community and creative projects.

Conclusion of the 16th Season of the University Table Tennis Championship at King Khalid University

Yesterday, the 16th season of the Saudi Universities Sports Federation Table Tennis Championship concluded at the Al-Faraa Sports Hall. The tournament was organized by King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with the Saudi Universities Sports Federation. It took place from October 1 to 4, 2025, with the participation of 160 players representing 34 Saudi universities and colleges.

Over the course of four days, the championship witnessed intense competition and remarkable performances across individual, doubles, and team categories, under the supervision of certified referees and amid strong student attendance and professional organization.

In the overall ranking, Qassim University claimed first place, followed by Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University in second place, and the University of Jeddah in third place.

In the team competitions, Qassim University secured first place, Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University came second, and the University of Jeddah finished third.
In the individual category, Turki Al-Mutairi from Qassim University took first place, Khalid Al-Sharif from the University of Jeddah came second, and Mishari Al-Dosari from King Abdulaziz University took third place.
In the doubles category, the pair Mishari Al-Dosari and Muath Al-Sharif from King Abdulaziz University won first place, followed by Turki Al-Mutairi and Khalid Al-Harbi from Qassim University in second place, while the duo Khalid Al-Sharif and Abdulaziz Al-Faqih from the University of Jeddah came third.

The event also featured the honoring of participating referees and organizing committees, as well as a mutual exchange of appreciation between King Khalid University and the Saudi Universities Sports Federation in recognition of their fruitful cooperation in the success of the event.

Dr. Ali bin Misfer Al-Qahtani, Dean of Student Affairs at King Khalid University, emphasized that hosting the championship reflects the university’s commitment to supporting university-level sports and enhancing student participation in national competitions. He also praised the strong support that student activities receive from the University President and its vice presidents.

Meanwhile, Dr. Saad Al-Qahtani, Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Student Activities, noted that the championship achieved its athletic and educational goals, highlighting the workshops and awareness programs held alongside the event that contributed to promoting a culture of sports and health awareness among students.

Qassim University secured first place, followed by Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University and University of Jeddah, while the singles and doubles competitions highlighted outstanding performances from students of King Abdulaziz University, Qassim University, and University of Jeddah, reflecting the university’s commitment to fostering competitiveness and excellence in student sports.
