Medicines Tell Stories: A Remarkable Event Organized by the College of Pharmacy at King Khalid University
On Monday, September 9, 2024, the Pharmacy College Club at King Khalid University organized an exceptional event titled **"Medicines Tell Stories."** The event highlighted a variety of unique medical topics and featured active participation from multiple committees, adding richness and diversity to the content.
The event featured several sections, including stories of rare medical cases and their treatments, unconventional therapies used in various cultures, and stories of drug discoveries. Additionally, the event highlighted national contributions, specifically focusing on our nation's role in developing certain medications and providing expensive drugs free of charge to citizens.
Pamphlets and printed materials containing valuable information on the discussed topics were distributed at the sections, contributing to increased awareness among attendees. Several pharmacy students volunteered to oversee the sections, explaining the topics and discussing details with visitors, adding an interactive element to the event.
A delightful hospitality corner offered visitors drinks and sweets, while a special section for ornamental plants provided a beautiful ambiance and shared information on the medicinal benefits of plants, showcasing medications derived from botanical sources. The event also included a recreational section with games and puzzles, making the atmosphere more fun and engaging.
Attendees had the opportunity to interact directly with the speakers through activities conducted by the club's students, which fostered a sense of participation and community among the students.
