The Student Care and Counseling Center at King Khalid University, in collaboration with the Student Care and Counseling Unit at the College of Education - Department of Psychology, organized an awareness initiative titled “Addiction Prevention and Anti-Smoking Program in All Forms.” The initiative provided students with preventive, awareness, and therapeutic services. Students were also invited to visit the center and benefit from the Smoking Cessation Clinic.

The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Vice Deanship for Female Students, in collaboration with the College of Computer Science Club and the College of Languages and Translation Club, organized the “Balance and Vitality” event at the Elite Hall for female students of King Khalid University. The event featured a variety of sports competitions, including billiards, table tennis, badminton, chess, backgammon, and foosball, with a large turnout of students. At the end of the event, the winners were honored for their participation.

The Student Fund Management at King Khalid University has completed the activities for the 2024 financial year, receiving the financial statements and the final report from the external auditor. Thus, the financial year has closed, and the 2025 financial year has begun. The Executive Director of the Student Fund received the final accounts in the presence of the 2024 financial year closure committee and the auditor’s office accountant.

Today, His Excellency Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Sulami, President of King Khalid University, launched the Foundation Day Celebration Programs organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in collaboration with various university departments. The celebration included a variety of performances, programs, and exhibitions to mark this important national occasion.

The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, organized the “Challenge of Champions” event in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy Club, College of Sciences Club, Applied College Club in Abha, and Applied College Club in Khamis Mushait. The event included sports competitions in hockey, chess, badminton, jackaroo, and billiards. Additionally, there were special booths displaying famous athletes and sports worldwide, along with a booth highlighting the benefits of sports and the importance of physical activity in enhancing fitness and mental health.

The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Deanship’s Female Student Affairs Division, organized the “Volleyball Championship” for the female students of the university. Coach Noha Al-Shuhri guided the students on the key game rules and the importance of maintaining sportsmanship.The matches were held in a tournament format over three days, and on the fourth day, the final match was held, where the College of Computer Science Team was crowned champion.The College of Engineering secured second place, while the College of Languages and Translation took third place.The event was marked by continuous support and encouragement from the audience.

Gifted student Yazan Awad Al-Shamrani from the College of Engineering at King Khalid University, supported by the Deanship of Student Affairs, participated in the “i-Create Science and Engineering Exhibition” (i-Create 2025) held in Riyadh. The event included a panel discussion titled “From Volunteer Seed to Excellence and Creativity Platform,” where the student highlighted the role of the Talent and Creativity Unit in supporting university students.

His Excellency Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Sulami, President of King Khalid University, met with Eng. Mohammed Al-Mohisen, Head of the Professional Guidance Program at the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), in the presence of initiative directors and the Director of the Asir Region Branch. The meeting focused on discussing ways to enhance collaboration, with the presence of Dr. Ali Al-Qahatani, Dean of Student Affairs.

The King Khalid University Volleyball Team, with the support of the Deanship of Student Affairs, has advanced to the final qualifiers in the Saudi University Sports Federation Volleyball Championship after participating in the preliminary qualifiers held at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah from February 7-8, 2025. The final qualifiers will be held at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University from March 5-8, 2025.

With the support of the Deanship of Student Affairs, King Khalid University achieved second place in the Goalball Championship for Female Students, part of the 15th season of the Saudi University Sports Federation tournaments. The team received silver medals and a 3000 SAR reward for each student.
