KKU Alumni Association Unit Continues Its Efforts to Support and Empower Graduates
The Alumni Association Unit, under the Deanship of Student Affairs at King Khalid University, continues its efforts to empower graduates and enhance their readiness for the labor market. During this week, the unit facilitated 12 graduates in obtaining specialized training opportunities, strengthening their professional competencies and connections with relevant organizations. It also engaged with 45 graduates to update their information in the alumni database, improving communication and access to future employment opportunities. In alignment with national employment initiatives, over 300 graduates were registered in the TAQAT platform for job seekers, reflecting the unit’s commitment to professional linkage and expanding recruitment channels, while also publishing 29 diverse job announcements across various fields — reaffirming its dedication to helping KKU graduates secure optimal training and employment opportunities.

KKU Basketball Team Qualifies for the Final Rounds of the Universities Championship
King Khalid University’s basketball team has qualified for the final rounds of the Saudi Universities Basketball Championship (Men) after achieving its third consecutive victory, supported by the Deanship of Student Affairs. The tournament, organized by the Saudi Universities Sports Federation, was hosted by Majmaah University from October 27 to November 1, 2025. KKU’s team secured qualification with a decisive 73–43 win over Bisha University, demonstrating exceptional performance and readiness to compete in the final stage, scheduled to be held at the Islamic University in Madinah from February 4 to 7, 2026.

KKU Students Participate in the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity “Ibda’a Asir 2026”
Students from King Khalid University, supported by the Deanship of Student Affairs, are participating in the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity “Ibda’a Asir 2026”, organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba). The event aims to promote innovation and scientific research among youth while showcasing the creative potential of Saudi talents. KKU’s participation reflects its commitment to empowering talented students and enabling them to contribute to building a competitive, knowledge-based future aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

KKU President Attends the Launch of World Mental Health Day 2025
His Excellency Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solamy, President of King Khalid University, attended the launch of World Mental Health Day 2025, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs under the theme “Access to Mental Health Services in Crises and Disasters.” The event featured several workshops, exhibitions, and awareness seminars aimed at students, focusing on raising awareness about mental health and promoting psychological and social support within academic environments to foster a more cohesive and understanding university community.

King Khalid University’s basketball team, supported by the Deanship of Student Affairs, opened its participation in the Saudi Universities Basketball Championship (Men’s Division) with a well-deserved victory over Majmaah University’s team, winning 78–19. Workshop on “Fundamentals of International Humanitarian Law” at King Khalid University
The Deanship of Student Affairs at King Khalid University organized a three-day workshop titled “Fundamentals of International Humanitarian Law,” with participation from distinguished university staff, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, and the International Committee of the Red Cross. The workshop explored core principles, objectives, and mechanisms of international humanitarian law, and discussed key humanitarian practices in conflict settings while emphasizing the role of academic institutions in raising student awareness of humanitarian law.
