The AI Club, in collaboration with the Programming Club, concluded the AI Basics Bootcamp, which lasted for 5 days, from Sunday, November 17, 2024, to Thursday, November 21, 2024, and featured a group of experts in the field. The bootcamp aimed to provide intensive training on AI technologies and applications, enhancing participants’ skills and understanding of these advanced techniques.
Under the patronage of the University President, the College of Medicine Club, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized the 6th Medical Internship Forum on Sunday and Monday, November 17-18, 2024. The forum aimed to guide medical internship students in exploring various medical specialties through team posters, specialized consultation sessions with physicians, and seminars presented by faculty members. The event received significant engagement and enthusiasm from the students, who expressed their appreciation for the valuable experience.
The Central Scout Club, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, participated in the university’s celebration of World Children’s Day 2024 by organizing accompanying activities in the event’s exhibition at the University Hospital.
The Deanship of Student Affairs organized the “Tolerance Cup Basketball Tournament” for King Khalid University’s female students from November 17 to 21, 2024, with the participation of 12 teams. College of Business was crowned champion, with enthusiastic support from students. World Tolerance Day was also celebrated with a designated corner featuring student-created posters, giveaways, and competitions.
The College of Law (Female Section), in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized the “Environment and Climate” program on November 17 and 18. The program featured a Zoom workshop titled “The Art of Debating” by student Tala Al-Shehri and an on-campus debate titled “Asir as a Green City: The Best Option”, addressing environmental challenges and the importance of green cities.
The Central Scout Club organized the “Scout Promise Meeting and Scarf Ceremony” on Sunday, November 17th. The event began with a discussion on the value of tolerance in Islam, followed by a detailed explanation of the Scout scarf and its symbolism. The meeting concluded with participants wearing the specially designed scarf for King Khalid University, featuring campus landmarks and the Deanship of Student Affairs logo.
