The Applied College Club in Sarat Abidah held a workshop titled “Design Thinking Methodology” on Tuesday, November 19th, led by Dr. Naif Jabli, Director of the Design Thinking Center, in collaboration with the center and the Deanship of Student Affairs. Held at the Design Thinking Center in Al-Faraa, the workshop focused on the stages of design thinking and its application in problem-solving and self-development. The event concluded with Dr. Naif Jabli being honored by Student Activities Supervisor, Mr. Mohammed Hussein Al-Qahtani.

The College of Culture and Arts Club, in collaboration with the Female Section of the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized an event to celebrate the World Tolerance Day on Tuesday, November 19, at the college theater. The event began with a speech by the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs and Development, Dr. Aziza Al-Shehri, who addressed the concept of tolerance, its significance, and its positive impact on individuals and society. Historical examples were shared to highlight how tolerance fosters coexistence. The event was attended by students, faculty members, and staff.

As part of King Khalid University’s program to prepare students for the job market, the Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Central Volunteering Club, organized a workshop titled “How to Secure Your Ideal Job Opportunity in the Saudi Labor Market?” on Tuesday evening, November 19th, delivered by Dr. Fatimah Mohammed Mahdi. The workshop covered the concept and importance of recruitment, the role of government and private institutions in hiring graduates, and key Saudi employment platforms. Practical tips for job readiness were also shared. The two-hour session attracted 300 attendees from the university.

The Applied College Club in Abha organized a program titled “Nazaha… Know Your Rights” on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, in the activity room of the college. The program aimed to introduce students to the Anti-Corruption Commission (Nazaha) and highlight its role in combating corruption and promoting transparency.

The Central Arts Club, in collaboration with the Student Affairs Deanship, organized “Growing Together” on Tuesday, November 19th, at Mojan Park. The event highlighted Saudi Arabia’s vision for hosting the FIFA World Cup 2034 through innovative student perspectives, focusing on host cities, stadium designs, and fan zones showcasing Saudi culture. Attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ali Al-Qahtani, and other officials, the event received significant praise for its creativity, reflecting the university’s role in fostering student innovation and aligning with Vision 2030 goals.

As part of enhancing the developmental competencies of students in the Culinary Arts Program at the College of Tourism and Hospitality, and increasing their awareness of the fundamentals of professional kitchens, the College of Tourism and Hospitality Club, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs (Female and Male Sections), organized the event titled “The Identity of Nations in a Dish”. The event took place on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the College of Tourism and Hospitality. It aimed to develop culinary techniques and deepen students’ understanding of cultural identity through cuisine.

The Applied College Club in Rijal Almaa, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs (Female Section) and the Technical and Engineering Specializations Unit, organized the “Best Video Design” event. Students Maha Ahmed and Hams Mohammed delivered a comprehensive presentation on applications used in designing gaming videos in both Arabic and English. This was followed by a video design competition featuring six diverse videos created by the students. The event concluded with audience voting to select the top three winners.
