The Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students Organizes Foundation Day Celebration
The Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, in collaboration with the Corporate Communication Centre at King Khalid University and the Faculty of Home Economics, organized the Foundation Day celebration for the female students of the university. The event took place on Sunday, 28th July 1444H at 10:00 AM at the Academic Complex in Qaraa. The celebration was attended by Her Excellency, the Vice President for Female Students Affairs, Dr. Khuloud Abu Malha, and witnessed a large number of female students and university staff.
The celebration commenced with a tour of the exhibition, which included various corners representing different faculties. The exhibition featured paintings, pictures, traditional artifacts, souvenirs for the occasion, and traditional popular dishes. Afterward, a procession led by horses and horsewomen, followed by female students in traditional attire, made its way to the tent to welcome the guests.
Following that, there was a traditional fashion show, with the selection of the best traditional outfit for the Foundation Day in collaboration with the "Roh Al-Irsar" Center for Daycare for Special Needs. The participants were honored, and valuable prizes were distributed to the winners of the best outfits, expressing gratitude to all participants.
Next, a conversation with Grandmother Nora Al-Qahtani about the past took place. She spoke about old customs and heritage, and the female students engaged in interactive discussions, exchanging conversations with her and asking questions. The grandmother was honored during the event.
At the end of the event, Dr. Mona Al-Shahri, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs for Female Students, expressed her gratitude to the attendees for their participation and engagement in the celebration.
