The King Khalid University Taekwondo Team achieved first place in the Saudi Universities Sports Federation Championship, hosted by Tabuk University from October 14 to 18, 2025, winning five medals, with the support of the Deanship of Student Affairs, reflecting the university’s athletic excellence and its commitment to developing students’ abilities across various university sports.

King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, held the “Student Clubs Crown” ceremony in the presence of the Dean, Dr. Ali bin Misfer Al-Qahtani, with the participation of more than 84 club supervisors and leaders. The College of Science Club (male section) won first place and received the Student Clubs Crown flag, while the Central Entrepreneurship Club achieved first place among central clubs. Dr. Mohammed Harisi was honored as Best Central Club Supervisor, and Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghamdi received the award for Best College Club Supervisor. The College of Nursing in Khamis Mushait Club came in second, the College of Law Club took third, and the Central Volunteer Work Club earned second place among central clubs.

In the presence of King Khalid University’s Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, the Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by its Dean, Dr. Ali bin Misfer Al-Qahtani, signed several agreements with private sector institutions. The agreements aim to enhance training and development opportunities, foster students’ practical skills, and align educational outcomes with labor market needs in support of national development goals.

The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Student Care and Counseling Center (Social Counseling Unit), implemented a program titled “Managing Relationships in the Digital Space,” presented by Dr. Saleha Mohammed Amhadeesh. The program addressed the importance of digital relationships, the psychology of communication, and ethical values in online interactions, with the participation of female students, faculty members, and staff at King Khalid University. The initiative aimed to develop digital communication skills and enhance quality of life amid rapid technological advancements.

The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Student Care and Counseling Center, in collaboration with the College of Business, implemented an awareness program titled “The Dangers of Smoking and the Role of Clinics in Quitting,” presented by Nursing Technician Mr. Ayed Al-Shahrani. This initiative comes as part of King Khalid University’s efforts to promote public health and enhance students’ quality of life, aiming to raise awareness of the health and social harms of smoking and highlight the role of the Irada Clinic in supporting those wishing to quit.

His Excellency Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Solami, President of King Khalid University, attended the conclusion of the national qualifiers for the “Future Minerals Pioneers” Innovation Competition in the southern region, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs with wide participation from young innovators. The competition featured 84 contestants representing 17 teams, distributed across three main tracks: Safety and Security, Smart Technologies, and Resource Sustainability, aiming to foster innovation and explore national talents in the minerals sector.

His Excellency Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Solami, President of King Khalid University, honored the Sports Activity Departments at the Deanship of Student Affairs in recognition of their excellence and their high rankings in the Sports Performance Index for the year 1446 AH. He also honored the University Taekwondo Team for achieving first place in the Saudi Universities Sports Federation Championship for the year 1447 AH, praising their remarkable accomplishment that reflects the spirit of competition and athletic excellence among the university’s students.

The College of Nursing Club in Khamis Mushait, in collaboration with the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs and in partnership with the General Directorate of Educational Services at King Khalid University, organized an event titled “Care for Your Patient” on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Boulevard. The event aimed to promote a culture of patient care and highlight the role of humanitarian nursing in improving patients’ quality of life, emphasizing the importance of holistic care and psychological support within healthcare settings.

The Central Entrepreneurship Club at the Deanship of Student Affairs organized the “Future Minerals Pioneers Hackathon – National Competition for the Southern Region” on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Central Library in Al-Faraa. The closing ceremony was attended by His Excellency Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solamy, President of King Khalid University, who commended the quality of the entrepreneurial projects presented. Dr. Mashael Al-Qahtani, the Club President, was also honored for her efforts in promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students.

The Central Volunteer Club, in partnership with the Entrepreneurship Center and in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized an on-campus workshop titled “Community and the Volunteer” on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Code Lab Center in the Guraiger Campus – Abha. The session, presented by Ms. Reem Al-Hanif, aimed to empower female university volunteers, enhancing their leadership and social skills, and promoting a culture of social responsibility among students.
