College of Nursing in Mahayel Hosts “Safe Care for Every Newborn and Child” Event on World Patient Safety Day

The College of Nursing in Mahayel – Female Students Section organized the “Safe Care for Every Newborn and Child” event on Sunday, September 21, 2025, in celebration of World Patient Safety Day, in collaboration with the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students. The event featured an opening speech for the students, followed by an awareness lecture delivered by Dr. Jihan Al-Nabawi, Assistant Professor of Pediatric Nursing, on the role of nursing in newborn care and the importance of the Apgar Score, alongside an interactive practical demonstration. The session concluded by emphasizing the critical importance of safe care from the earliest moments of life, enhancing both awareness and practical skills among the students.

The Exhibition and Conference Center in Al-Far’a hosted the “Water Sustainability” event on Sunday, September 21, 2025, organized by the College of Science Club in collaboration with the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students and in partnership with the Central Scholarships Club and the Central Sustainability Club (Blue Initiative). The event aimed to enhance women’s role in raising awareness on water issues and to empower female students to contribute to a culture of water sustainability. 35 students from the College of Science participated, with approximately 400 attendees, fostering broad engagement and practical, impactful knowledge transfer.

It was attended by the college dean, department heads, administrative staff, and approximately 200 students and 25 participants, providing an interactive and intellectually enriching experience that demonstrated how mathematics can be applied to analyze evidence and understand criminal data.
