The experience of Rana Turki, a graduate of Media and Communication with a specialization in Public Relations and Advertising, represents the journey of a student who discovered her true passion during her university years and transformed her academic experience into a starting point for diverse professional opportunities. Media was not among her initial choices when selecting a university major. However, over time, she found her place in the field, and it became the medium through which she could express her abilities and creativity.

Rana emphasizes that she never considered changing her major, despite having the opportunity to do so, because she realized early on that it was the field in which she could excel. She also went beyond academic study by expanding her professional experience through work in journalism and television, in addition to obtaining a professional license from the General Authority of Media Regulation as a Public Relations Specialist.

Rana describes the beginning of her university experience as completely different from what she had expected. She entered university imagining it would be an extension of school life, only to encounter a new environment and different responsibilities that sometimes left her feeling confused and uncertain. Nevertheless, she gradually adapted and transformed that period into a rich experience filled with learning and personal growth.

She notes that her family and friends were a fundamental source of support throughout her years of study. Faculty members also played an important role in strengthening her self-confidence and providing opportunities for her to learn, develop, and demonstrate her abilities.

Her journey was not without difficult moments. Rana reveals that she seriously considered withdrawing during her first year, specifically in her third semester. However, the results she achieved that semester completely changed her perspective. After earning a perfect GPA of 5.0 out of 5.0, she realized that the challenges she had been facing were not due to a lack of ability, but rather the natural fears and hesitation that often accompany the beginning of a new journey.

As for graduation, Rana describes it as a mixture of emotions that is difficult to capture in a single word. The joy of achievement and reaching her goal was accompanied by feelings of nostalgia and sadness as she closed a chapter filled with memories and experiences that had contributed to shaping her personality.

Rana concludes with a piece of advice she wishes she had received at the beginning of her university journey: to embrace all available experiences both inside and outside the university and to become involved in student clubs and activities from an early stage. Such experiences play a significant role in building character, developing skills, discovering abilities, and refining the expertise students need throughout their academic and professional lives.
