The Female Section of the College of Dentistry Club, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, organized an event titled “Skills in Dealing with Children in Dentistry” on Tuesday, 5 Rabi’ al-Thani 1446 AH, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Al-Sarhan Elementary School.

Approximately 40 students and several faculty members participated in the event. The main objective was to equip students with essential skills for interacting with children in dental clinics through non-pharmacological methods. The focus was on understanding children’s behavior, reducing their fear of dentists, conducting clinical diagnoses, creating proper treatment plans, and referring cases to specialized departments. The event also aimed to educate children on the importance of dental hygiene and encourage them to maintain healthy teeth through various motivational techniques.

The program featured several segments, including an educational presentation for children, a theatrical performance, contests and games, teacher awareness sessions, gift distributions, dental hygiene awareness, “Try Being a Dentist” activities, dental checkups, and a photography session to conclude the event.
