King Khalid University Celebrates World Law Day
On Sunday, September 15, 2024, King Khalid University, represented by the College of Law Students Club, organized an event to celebrate World Law Day. The event was attended by the Dean of the College of Law, Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Hajri, and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Saad Al-Qahtani, and took place at the College of Law building on the Far’aa campus.
The event featured four legal stations:
1. Intellectual Property Rights: This section highlighted the importance of intellectual property, particularly in light of the upcoming International Book Fair in Riyadh.
2. Criminal Law: Addressed the widespread issues of harassment and cybercrime, explaining their impact on society and the penalties involved.
3. Arbitration: Focused on arbitration as an alternative means of resolving commercial and sports disputes.
4. Know Your Rights: Aimed at new students, educating them about their rights and responsibilities under the relevant regulations.
Dr. Al-Hajri emphasized the importance of law in maintaining societal order, highlighting the progress achieved under Saudi Vision 2030. Dr. Al-Qahtani also praised the event and stressed the importance of legal awareness among students. The event was attended by over 380 students and faculty members from various university departments.
