In a step towards fostering integration between the college’s disciplines and enhancing fruitful communication between faculty members and students, the College of Education’s student club, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, organized the first club program for the first semester of 1446 AH. The event, titled “Mature Minds for Deeper Understanding,” took place on Tuesday, 7/3/1446 AH, at 10:00 AM in the college auditorium, with the attendance of faculty members and students.

The program began with a royal anthem and a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcoming speech from the Vice Dean, emphasizing the college’s continuous efforts to create a distinguished educational environment. The introduction to the program was presented by student Afiaa Al Amer, who explained the main objective of the event: to highlight common misconceptions about the Early Childhood Education and Psychology majors, and to present scientifically supported facts through the latest research.

The event featured interactive educational sessions, with faculty members from the two departments participating. Dr. Abeer Al Shehri represented the Psychology Department, while Dr. Rasha Al Sayyid and Dr. Tehani Al Qaisi represented the Early Childhood Education Department. The event also hosted external specialists, including psychological specialist Fatima Said from the Armed Forces Hospitals and advanced teacher Ibtisam Al Shahrani from Fatima Al Zahraa Kindergarten.

The panel discussion was moderated by two distinguished club members, Haya Al Jokhdab and Reema Al Essa, engaging the audience with a Q&A session. Following this, a segment titled “Real Experience” was presented by students who shared personal stories about how the college departments have played a crucial role in supporting their academic journeys.

The program also included an entertainment segment aimed at deepening psychological insights and understanding emotions and thoughts in various life situations through a game called “Inside My Mind,” inspired by the famous psychological animation film “Inside Out.”

The event concluded with a presentation by the library director and lab supervisor, guiding students on how to effectively utilize educational and electronic resources. A tour of the college facilities was also conducted to showcase the comprehensive services that aim to enhance the students’ academic experience.

At the end of the event, commemorative gifts were distributed to the attendees, accompanied by warm wishes for success and prosperity for all the students and faculty members.
