Mature Minds for Deeper Understanding” - Education College Program at King Khalid University

The Student Affairs Communications Center of King Khalid University organized a collaborative program titled “Mature Minds for Deeper Understanding” through the Education College Club and Student Affairs for Female Students, marking the first student activities program for the first semester of 1446 AH. The event took place on Tuesday, 7/3/1446 AH at 10:00 AM in the college theater, with the attendance of faculty members and students.

The event opened with a welcome speech by the College Vice Dean, followed by a program introduction by student Afyaa Al Amer, which aimed to debunk common misconceptions about the Early Childhood and Psychology disciplines. The program featured interactive educational sessions led by Dr. Abeer Al-Shahri from the Psychology Department and Dr. Rasha Al-Sayed and Dr. Tahani Al-Qaisi from the Early Childhood Department. Special guests included Fatima Saeed, a psychological specialist from the Armed Forces Hospitals, and Ibtisam Al-Shahrani, a senior teacher from Fatima Al-Zahra Kindergarten.

Haya Al-Jakhdeb and Rima Al-Eissa, two distinguished club members, moderated the session, which concluded with a Q&A session. The event also featured a “Real-Life Experience” segment presented by students, highlighting the critical roles the departments played in supporting them during their university journey. Following this was a recreational segment titled “Inside My Mind”, inspired by the well-known animated film Inside Out.

The event concluded with the library curator and lab supervisor offering guidance on how to use educational and electronic resources effectively. They also conducted a tour of the college’s facilities, demonstrating the comprehensive services designed to enhance students’ academic experience.

The program concluded with the distribution of commemorative gifts to attendees, accompanied by warm wishes for success and prosperity for all students and staff of the college.
