The College of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Student Activities, organized a scientific seminar titled “Introduction to Rhetoric” as part of the “Introduction to Arabic Language Sciences” program. The seminar was held on Monday, 5 Rabi’ al-Thani 1446 AH, in the college’s ground floor auditorium.

The guest speaker, Dr. Ali bin Muhammad Al-Noumah, discussed the significance of rhetoric and its place among the Arabic language sciences. He also explored the history and development of rhetoric over time, highlighting its critical role in analyzing literary and religious texts with precision and beauty.

The seminar attracted notable attendance from students and faculty members, who engaged with the lecture and benefited from Dr. Al-Noumah’s insightful explanations.

“Translation Project” Competition Organized by the College of Languages and Translation Club

The College of Languages and Translation Club held the “Translation Project” competition under the supervision of the Head of the Translation Department, Dr. Issa Asiri. The competition aimed to enhance students’ translation skills through quick challenges that involved translating idiomatic expressions within a limited time frame.

Participants were evaluated based on the accuracy and quality of their translations, and monetary prizes were awarded to the top five winners, encouraging them to further develop their skills and gain valuable experience in the field of translation.

The College of Applied Studies Club in Tanomah, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for the Female Section, organized a visit to the Comprehensive Empowerment Daycare Center in Al-Namas, titled “Touch of Goodness.” The visit took place on Monday, 4 Rabi’ al-Thani 1446 AH, at 10:00 AM.

The visit aimed to promote values of cooperation and solidarity within the community and to instill a spirit of giving among volunteers. It also sought to provide both emotional and material support to this important segment of society, while offering opportunities for positive interaction between volunteers and the children at the center. This initiative contributed to enhancing volunteers’ communication and empathy skills, deepening their understanding of the importance of community service and caring for those in need of special care.

Law College Club Celebrates World Teachers’ Day

In recognition of the vital role that knowledge and education play in advancing societies, the Law College Club, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs (Female Section), organized a celebration for World Teachers’ Day on Sunday, 3 Rabi’ al-Thani 1446 AH, at 10:00 AM. The event was attended by the Vice Dean of the College of Law, the Vice Deans of the Public and Private Law Departments, and faculty members.

The event aimed to highlight the importance of the teaching profession and the challenges that teachers face in fulfilling their noble duties.
