“Farq (Draw Your Path)” Program to Enhance Career Awareness for King Khalid University Students

The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Student Training and Exchange Unit, in collaboration with Basamh Community Service Program (@mutqen), organized the “Farq (Draw Your Path)” program for newly admitted students at King Khalid University. The program, presented by Prof. Naif Jabali, was attended by more than 40 students.

This program aims to enhance students’ understanding of different professional personalities, help them identify their career personality type, and apply professional standards to select the most suitable major.

Additionally, it highlights the importance of choosing a major and its connection to influence and success. The event was held at the Conferences and Exhibitions Building in Al-Faraa.

The event concluded with a ceremony honoring participants for their contributions.

King Khalid University Wins Four Medals in the Gulf Athletics Championship

With the support of the Deanship of Student Affairs, the King Khalid University Athletics Team won four medals in the 10th Gulf Sports Championship for University Students, held at Sultan Qaboos University in Oman from January 18 to January 24, 2025. The championship featured 17 universities and over 400 athletes from across the Gulf region. Student Abdullah Al-Qahtani secured two bronze medals in the 800m and 1500m races, while student Hashimi Al-Khathami won a silver medal in the 400m race and a bronze medal in the 200m race. Additionally, the university’s basketball team delivered a strong performance, finishing fifth place in the overall university rankings.

The trip aimed to explore Jeddah’s cultural and entertainment landmarks, including a visit to the Disability Support Center at King Abdulaziz University, as well as an immersive experience in Historic Jeddah and other recreational sites, fostering community engagement and cultural participation.

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef Al-Benyan, Ziyad Asiri, a student at King Khalid University, secured second place in the KASAO Innovation Award - Innovation Exhibition Competition, supported by the Deanship of Student Affairs.

His innovation, “Air Medical Station,” earned recognition during the 5th Health Innovation Hackathon, hosted by King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, where top innovators in the healthcare sector competed.
