Overcoming the Fear of Being on Camera – Mishari Al-Dosari
Mishari Al-Dosari, a Radio and Television student, described cooperative training as a pivotal stage in the journey of media students, explaining that his passion for the media field motivated him to pursue this specialization. He noted that the training enabled him to gain firsthand knowledge of how television and radio production teams operate and to work alongside camera operators, sound engineers, and lighting technicians in a collaborative environment that requires continuous coordination to successfully produce media content.
He also participated in a variety of practical projects, including the production of a podcast and a short film in collaboration with Afaq newspaper. He praised the support he received from faculty members and supervisors, particularly Dr. Mohammed Al-Asmari. He added that the experience helped him overcome his fear of appearing on camera and enabled him to develop skills in editing, color grading, and audio engineering at King Khalid University’s studios, which he described as among the best in the Asir region.
