College of Tourism and Hospitality at King Khalid University Hosts “Asir Heritage: A Narrated Identity and a Living Present” Event
The Deanship of Student Affairs at King Khalid University, represented by the Student Care and Counseling Unit at the College of Tourism and Hospitality, in partnership with the Asir Development Authority, organized the event titled “Asir Heritage: A Narrated Identity and a Living Present” on Sunday, October 26, 2025. The event, presented by students of the Tourism and Hospitality Department, highlighted Asir’s authentic heritage and connected it with contemporary tourism, featuring visual displays showcasing the region’s cultural identity and architectural heritage and live scenes reflecting traditional Asiri hospitality and values of generosity and social interaction. The event also included an exhibition introducing the college’s academic programs in tourism and hospitality and their role in preparing national professionals capable of promoting Saudi tourism destinations globally. The organizers emphasized that the initiative aims to link academic learning with practical application and enable students to contribute to heritage promotion and develop skills in organizing tourism events in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Asir Development Strategy.
