The Arabic Department, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a cultural activity titled “Linguistic Innovations in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” on Tuesday, 20/4/1446 H, at the College of Science Theater. The event began with welcoming remarks by Dr. Mai Fareq, followed by Dr. Abeer Al-Fifi’s speech on the importance of such activities in supporting student creativity. Ms. Amal Mohammed highlighted students’ role in enriching the department. The program featured student-prepared visual presentations and interactive games, concluding with an AI-driven activity to produce creative Arabic texts.

“A Day Around the World” Program Organized by the Faculty of Arts and Culture Club

The Faculty of Arts and Culture Club, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students and in partnership with the Faculty of Education Club, organized a program titled A Day Around the World on Monday, 11/4/1446 AH, in the college theater. The program also featured an exhibition showcasing traditional clothing and popular dishes from various countries in the workshop hall.

The event, which started at 10 a.m. and lasted until 12 p.m., aimed to raise awareness about cultural diversity and offer insights into the customs and traditions that distinguish different nations. It promoted understanding and cooperation between cultures around the world.

The “world tour” featured five countries: Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunisia, Sudan, and India. Students from the Faculty of Arts and Culture Club, along with the Faculty of Education Club, introduced the audience to the cultures and languages of these nations, while displaying traditional attire and serving well-known dishes from each country. This added an enriching, global flavor to the event, celebrating the beauty of cultural diversity.

As smart agriculture gains strategic importance in enhancing food security and achieving sustainable development in Saudi Arabia, the Applied College Club in Mahayel, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, organized an event titled “Protected Agriculture: A Gateway to Innovation in Agricultural Production.” The event took the form of a visit to the Mahayel Municipality Nursery as part of the “Innovation in the Green Environment” program, held on Monday, 11/04/1446 AH, at 10 a.m.

This event served as a key opportunity to shed light on the current state of agriculture in the Kingdom and the challenges facing the sector, while also raising awareness about the importance of protected agriculture and other modern farming techniques. A total of 20 students specializing in smart agriculture benefited from the event, gaining hands-on experience with protected farming technologies and innovations that can be applied in the field.

On Tuesday, 12/4/1446 AH, the Sharia and Usul al-Din College Club, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized the second session of the Usuli Scholar Development program.

The session, titled Agreed-Upon Legal Evidence, was delivered by Professor Dr. Omar Al-Salami, a faculty member in the Department of Fiqh and Usul. Dr. Al-Salami discussed the definition and types of legal evidence, providing practical examples to illustrate the concepts.

The session was attended by a notable number of students from the college, who engaged with the material and participated in insightful discussions.

Language Challenge

“Language Challenge” Program Organized by the Faculty of Languages and Translation Club for Female Students

Recognizing the vital role of student activities in supporting academic and personal development, as well as fostering positive competitive spirit, the Faculty of Languages and Translation Club, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, organized the competitive program “Language Challenge” on Monday, 11/4/1446 AH, at the student club on campus.

A large number of female students participated in the program, which ran from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., featuring various competitions aimed at enhancing their linguistic skills. The challenges included identifying the correct translation of proverbs and sayings from English to Arabic, spelling words correctly, and recognizing words through phonetic descriptions.

At the end of the event, the winners were honored with valuable prizes, acknowledging their outstanding performance and language skills, adding excitement and motivation to the event while encouraging continued language learning among the students.

“Bank of Good Deeds” Initiative Organized by the Applied College Club in Tanomah in Collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs

The Applied College Club in Tanomah, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a community initiative called “Bank of Good Deeds” on Tuesday, 12/4/1446 AH. The initiative involved a visit to Tanomah General Hospital to check on the hospitalized patients.

The main goal of the initiative was to bring joy and happiness to the patients and to emphasize the spirit of solidarity and unity within the community. This visit was an opportunity to highlight the importance of humanitarian work and to strengthen social bonds.

The visit was honored by the presence of Mr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Yahya Al-Shahri, Executive Director of the College, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Sawy Al-Safi, Head of the Health and Basic Sciences Unit. The team was warmly received by hospital staff, led by Mr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Shahri and Mr. Saeed Al-Qahtani, who expressed their gratitude for the initiative and its positive impact on the patients.

A large number of students participated in the initiative, headed by the student activity leader, Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Qahtani. During the visit, gifts including Qur’ans, flowers, and sweets were distributed to the patients, reflecting the humanitarian spirit and solidarity with those in need.
