College of Law (Girls’ Section) Organizes First Event Titled "Sports Challenge"

The College of Law Club (Girls’ Section), in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, organized its first event on Wednesday, March 8, 2024, titled "The Sports Challenge." The event took place at the sports hall in the Guraiger campus, starting at 9:00 AM and lasting for four hours.

The event was special, with attendance from the Vice Dean of the College of Law, Ms. Walaa Asiri, Vice Deans of the Public and Private Law Departments, and several faculty members, alongside a large number of students from various disciplines. The event began with a speech by Shada Hussein Al Qamash, the head of the sports committee, introducing the sports program and emphasizing the importance of physical activity. Trainers Amal and Ibtisam also gave an overview of the services provided at the sports hall.

The program aimed to foster teamwork and collaboration among students, essential skills for law students. It included various activities such as foosball, darts, basketball, soccer, chess, hockey, tug-of-war, in addition to electronic games and training sessions.

The event also featured a guest speaker, Kawthar Mohammed Issa Hammad, a basketball player from the College of Computer Science, who shared her experience learning the sport and the challenges she faced, ultimately becoming a player for the national team.

The event concluded with the distribution of awards to the winners, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere and highlighting the importance of sports in promoting general health and encouraging physical activity.
