Welcoming Ceremony for New Students at the Nursing College, Mahayel Asir

As part of the collaboration between the Nursing College Club and the Student Care and Counseling Unit in Mahayel Asir (Female Students Section), a welcoming ceremony was held for the new students on Wednesday, 8/3/1446 AH. The event aimed to introduce the new students to the college and its academic programs, providing them with the necessary guidance and support at the beginning of their university journey.

The ceremony started with a welcome speech by student Bandari Ibrahim, who greeted the new students and highlighted the college’s commitment to graduating skilled nurses capable of providing outstanding healthcare services.

This was followed by a speech from the Dean of the College, Dr. Abeer Saad Asiri, who welcomed the new cohort and emphasized the challenges and accomplishments they would face. She encouraged them to persevere in order to achieve their academic goals.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was honoring 17 students who excelled in the English language proficiency test, with motivational gifts awarded to them.

Additionally, Dr. Khalida from the Student Care and Counseling Unit gave a speech about the importance of academic guidance, while Dr. Duria Hassan emphasized the need for practical and field excellence in nursing. Ms. Nawal Asiri also delivered a speech on the role of extracurricular activities in developing students’ academic and social skills.

The ceremony concluded with a campus tour led by Ms. Fatima Adam to familiarize the new students with the college’s facilities. Raneem Aed, a student, documented the event through media coverage.
