University President Witnesses the Closing Ceremony of the Eighth Cultural Olympiad

Under the patronage of His Excellency, Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Sulami, the President of King Khalid University, the Deanship of Student Affairs organized the closing ceremony of the "Eighth Cultural Olympiad." The event took place at the university theater in the university city of Al-Qaraa and was attended by university staff and students.

During his speech at the celebration, Dr. Ali Albassami, the Dean of Student Affairs at the university, highlighted that the Eighth Cultural Olympiad for male and female students lasted for three days and saw the participation of more than 1083 students from various faculties and specializations in diverse competitive fields.

Dr. Albassami stated, "These student activities enhance the cognitive and social skills of university students, provide them with experiences for their academic and professional lives, and foster a spirit of cooperation, leadership, and teamwork among students. These activities are fundamental in the educational process."

At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency, the university president, honored the male and female winners. The Eighth Cultural Olympiad featured 37 fields of competition, including Quran recitation, beautiful recitation, Sunnah, the Prophet's biography, public speaking, explanation of religious texts, poetic contests, classical Arabic poetry, Nabati poetry, short stories, Arabic calligraphy, and visual arts.

The Faculty of Medicine achieved first place with 2550 points among the participating faculties, followed by the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies in second place with 2200 points. The Faculty of Humanities came in third place with 900 points, followed by the rest of the university's participating faculties in the Olympiad.
