The Guidance and Counseling Unit at the College of Culture and Arts (Female Section), in cooperation with the Student Care and Counseling Center at the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a workshop titled “The Role of Arts in Modifying the Behavior of Individuals and Society.” More than 40 students from the college attended the workshop, which aims to promote behavioral therapy through the use of arts to express and release personal desires. The workshop also included various activities using colors, clay, and modeling dough, along with organizing competitions involving students and faculty members.

The Guidance and Counseling Unit at Tanomah Applied College (Female Section), in cooperation with the Student Care and Counseling Center, organized a program titled “In the Embrace of Ramadan” in celebration of the blessed month of Ramadan and in preparation for its arrival. The program featured a variety of Ramadan foods, a PowerPoint presentation, as well as posters and brochures. Prizes were also distributed to the winning students in the competition segment.

The Guidance and Counseling Unit at the College of Business (Female Section), in cooperation with the Student Care and Counseling Center, organized a program titled “Purity of the Soul in Ramadan” in celebration of the blessed month of Ramadan. The program included distributing informative brochures, presenting examples of Ramadan iftar meals, and a competition segment, where prizes were awarded to the winning students.

Dr. Ali bin Misfer Al-Qahtani, Dean of the Deanship of Student Affairs, received a delegation from the “Malek Humanitarian Services Association.” This visit is part of the Deanship’s efforts to familiarize the community with the university’s facilities and services. The visit included a comprehensive program organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with the Deanship of Admission and Registration, the Deanship of Libraries Affairs, and the Sports Activities Department. This visit helps provide a clear vision of the university and assists students in choosing the most suitable specialization after learning about the available options.

In a new achievement, King Khalid University students, supported by the Deanship of Student Affairs, won first and second place in the “Water Hackathon.” The winners were honored by the Deputy Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture. Over 33 teams and 100 participants took part in the hackathon, which aimed to provide digital solutions to enhance the future of the water sector in the Kingdom, in line with Saudi Vision 2030. The event addressed four main tracks to tackle water-related challenges.

The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Student Care and Counseling Center, organized the “Social Meeting for Supervisors of Student Care and Counseling Units at the Colleges.” During the meeting, Dr. Jamila Al-Rawi, the Director of the Center, reviewed the meeting’s agenda, clarified the duties of the supervisors, and discussed the standards for planning and reporting. Several successful case studies were shared, and the meeting concluded with a set of recommendations aimed at improving future work.

The Student Care and Counseling Center at King Khalid University, in collaboration with the Student Care and Counseling Unit at the College of Education - Department of Psychology, organized an awareness initiative titled “Addiction Prevention and Anti-Smoking Program in All Forms.” The initiative provided students with preventive, awareness, and therapeutic services. Students were also invited to visit the center and benefit from the Smoking Cessation Clinic.

The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Vice Deanship for Female Students, in collaboration with the College of Computer Science Club and the College of Languages and Translation Club, organized the “Balance and Vitality” event at the Elite Hall for female students of King Khalid University. The event featured a variety of sports competitions, including billiards, table tennis, badminton, chess, backgammon, and foosball, with a large turnout of students. At the end of the event, the winners were honored for their participation.

The Student Fund Management at King Khalid University has completed the activities for the 2024 financial year, receiving the financial statements and the final report from the external auditor. Thus, the financial year has closed, and the 2025 financial year has begun. The Executive Director of the Student Fund received the final accounts in the presence of the 2024 financial year closure committee and the auditor’s office accountant.

Today, His Excellency Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Sulami, President of King Khalid University, launched the Foundation Day Celebration Programs organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in collaboration with various university departments. The celebration included a variety of performances, programs, and exhibitions to mark this important national occasion.
