Khamis Mushait Applied Club launches the Community Education Program

On Wednesday, 1st February 2023, the Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Khamis Mushait inaugurated the Health Education Program on Chronic and Infectious Diseases. The program was launched at Mujan Park Complex.

The exhibition featured five pavilions. The first pavilion provided information about chronic hypertension, including blood pressure measurements for the visitors, preventive methods, and factors affecting blood pressure.

The second pavilion focused on diabetes, its types, risk factors, and preventive measures. The third pavilion was dedicated to Diana Medical Factory, the official sponsor of the program.

The fourth pavilion offered vital signs measurements for the visitors, while the fifth and final pavilion provided education on Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). It included information about AIDS, preventive measures, the latest diagnostic and treatment methods, and living with the condition.

Mr. Sami Al-Qamash, the Vice President of the Club and supervisor of specialized programs, expressed gratitude to the organizers of the program, including Dr. Khurshid Muzammil from the Public Health Department, and student Ryan Al-Wadei. In addition, the College's Dean, Dr. Abdullah bin Mubarak Al-Shahrani, honored the program's success partners, including Diana Medical Factory, Mujan Park Complex Management, Dr. Khurshid Muzammil (program coordinator for faculty members), Dr. Shahad Flatah (program coordinator for female students), and Mr. Saleh Al-Asmari (Director of Ceremonies and Events Department at the University), who significantly contributed to the program's success.

The program witnessed the presence of over 40 volunteers, including specialists, and attracted more than 1000 visitors to the exhibition.
