
The College of Architecture and Planning Hosts World-Renowned Architect Bjarke Ingels
The College of Architecture and Planning at King Khalid University organized an event to host world-renowned architect Bjarke Ingels, founder of BIG, with the presence of HRH Prince Turki bin Talal, Emir of Asir Region, the University President Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajah Al-Sulami, Asir Region Secretary Engineer Abdullah Al-Jali, and several architecture enthusiasts. Ingels presented a selection of his innovative projects during the lecture, emphasizing his philosophy of “sustainable pleasure,” and expressed admiration for the Kingdom’s architectural ambitions. Dr. Ahmed bin Ali bin Dajam, Vice Dean for Educational Affairs, stated that Ingels’ visit represents a turning point in linking global design thinking with local aspirations, aligning with the ambitions of the new generation of Saudi architects.
