A Journey of Academic Excellence: Naif Ayed Al-Shabab – Doctor of Pharmacy Student at King Khalid University

Naif Ayed Al-Shabab is an outstanding Doctor of Pharmacy student at King Khalid University who has distinguished himself not only academically but also through volunteer activities and projects that he personally supervised. Throughout his studies, Naif has successfully combined theoretical knowledge with practical experience, enabling him to actively participate in student initiatives with a broad impact on the community.

School Medication Awareness Series: A Project of Pride for College of Pharmacy Students

One of the most significant projects Naif is proud to have established and supervised is the School Medication Awareness Series, launched by the College of Pharmacy Club at King Khalid University in partnership with the General Directorate of Education in the Asir Region. The program aimed to provide important information about medications to various segments of society, with a particular focus on high school students.

The program included visits to more than 15 schools across the Asir Region, where Naif and his team delivered awareness lectures covering topics such as what medications are, how to use them properly, high doses, and how to deal with them. The sessions also highlighted proper medication storage, medication shelf life after opening, drug interactions, and how antibiotics work.

The First Ramadan Health Awareness Exhibition

Another of Naif’s notable achievements was organizing the first health awareness exhibition during the holy month of Ramadan, held at Al Rashid Mall in Asir. The three-day exhibition was organized in partnership with 18 health and educational organizations and featured 44 different educational booths.

The exhibition included booths offering medication consultations and dental examinations, with beneficiaries referred to the University Hospital for further treatment when needed. The Volunteer Work Club also provided a basic first-aid training program for members of the community.

Self-Motivation During Difficult Times

When facing difficult times, Naif relies on an important philosophy in his life: remaining calm and taking his time. He believes that dealing with challenges requires patience and wisdom, guided by the well-known saying, “Tie it and trust in God,” which strengthens his confidence in making appropriate decisions.

Naif also uses simple techniques to manage his emotions, such as what he calls “closing the garbage bag,” meaning that he avoids making hasty decisions during difficult moments and instead gives himself time to reflect and think wisely.

Skills Acquired During His University Studies

Throughout his studies, Naif has worked to develop both his academic and personal skills. He has taken advantage of opportunities to enhance his scientific and research capabilities while pursuing his passion for developing leadership skills. Serving as president of the College of Pharmacy Club helped him strengthen both his pharmaceutical knowledge and leadership abilities.

He also contributed to the management of the Central Volunteer Work Club, where he helped develop volunteer initiatives and establish volunteer teams in accordance with models adopted by the G20. These experiences contributed to developing his computer, English-language, and leadership skills.

Dealing with Academic and Extracurricular Challenges

Naif approaches challenges in both his studies and extracurricular activities by carefully analyzing each problem and developing a well-structured plan to overcome it. Organization and planning are his primary tools for successfully navigating challenges, strengthening his ability to manage pressure and achieve his goals effectively.

In conclusion, Naif Ayed Al-Shabab represents an inspiring example of an ambitious student who continuously strives for both academic and community excellence. Through his determination and perseverance, he has achieved significant accomplishments both within and beyond the University, making him a role model for many students.
